The Shipman School is located at the foot of Mount Carmel, at the edge of a nature reserve. The sixth annual school is a home for all the students of Tirat Carmel. It is attended by students from 7th to 12th grade and it has about 950 students

In 2001, a center of teaching science (Eshkol Payis) was added to the school, and in recent years has been adopted by the World ORT, which contributes greatly to the advancement of the scientific field in the school.

The school is the only secular high school in Tirat Carmel and its vision speaks of a partnership of the educational staff, parents and students in building a social learning experience with respect and mutual trust and giving great importance to a school climate that enables learning ability to be adapted to the changing realities. The vision will be realized in the following ways:

A production school for its students, a modern, up-to-date, technology-intensive environment that will enable them to realize their studies optimally (such as: auxiliary programs and various support programs, scholarships, research projects, etc.).

The school will develop the ability for abstraction, creativity, imagination, rhetoric, curiosity for learning and perseverance.

The school will allow its students to realize their learning potential.

The school will allow its students to graduate with a diploma that is as optimal and rich as possible.

The school will train its students for active citizenship and community responsibility.
