Shaked Raanana
School 3 membersShaked is a six-year elementary school in Ra’anana, Israel. It was founded in 1992 and has 638 students. The school has a unique “health” program - designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. The program focuses on different aspects of social, physical and mental health.
The three main pillars of the school’s mission are:

Creating opportunities for students to acknowledge their individual abilities, rights, and duties.
Shaked wishes to provide its community with the understanding that each and each individual is loved, needed and capable. This approach fosters self- belief, and confidence in students and leads them to better academic and social achievements.

Improving learning skills and tools and bettering achievements -the school works to improve and advance the learning skills and tools taught while also encouraging curiosity and creativity. It prioritizes a close relationship between teachers and students as a means to a better school environment and achievements. A big emphasis is put on multidisciplinary learning as a way to improve general knowledge and to encourage creative thinking.
Another important aspect of learning at Shaked is technology - the school is equipped with computer labs, tablets, and laptops, that are an essential part of learning in the 21st century. The students learn how to utilize technology as a tool for better learning and thinking,

Creating a safe and optimal environment at the school.
the school encourages students to resolve their conflicts in a polite and efficient manner and provides them with conflict resolution skills in order to do so.
In the last few years, the school has developed unique groups that deal with issues such as self-empowerment, mediation and leadership skills.
The school also collaborates with the neighborhood it’s in and student’s families and encourages community engagement, volunteering and more.
In addition to those three pillars, the school believes educating to intercultural dialogue should be a priority. The school maintains connections with many different communities and groups in Israel.
