Our school is in the Noua district, in the south-eastern part of Brasov, near the entrance to Bucharest. This neighborhood impresses with the beauty of the natural setting, being at the foot of Mount Postavaru. There are several educational projects in partnership with many institutions in the community as well as international projects with many countries in Europe. The whole activity of our school is based on some fundamental values. We want to be a community that develops respect for oneself and others, tolerance, honesty, fairness, responsibility. The entire educational act aims to make pupils become independent, confident, adaptable at the end of their secondary education. Our goal is that each of them develops a positive sense of their own achievements in all fields not only in the curricular activities we offer but also in extracurricular ones. Our school, thanks to its facilities and conditions, is now a European-level school. In April 2012, the Gymnasium School Nr. 9 Nicolae Orghidan was nominated as one of the winners of the national competition for the title of EUROPEAN SCHOOL.
