Escola Básica Secundária da Graciosa was founded in October 1971, at the time it was called the Preparatory School Coronel Veríssimo de Sousa. Managing today the entire school network of Graciosa, that is the four schools of the 1st cycle with kindergarten in each parish and the EBS facilities of Graciosa in Estrada do Rebentão in Santa Cruz da Graciosa and with students of the 2nd cycle , 3rd cycle, Secondary and Professional Education.
