School was founded in 1946. The school building in Maksima Gorkog Street 7 was build in 1905 for the Hungarian royal state women's civic school, which existed until the end of the First World War. Between the two wars and after that the building was also used for educational purposes and it contained several educational institutions, until 1983, when it became ETŠ ,, Nikola Tesla ". The school building, due to its specific appearance characteristic for the time it was created, is under the protection of the state, as a cultural monument.

Our school has numerous generations of students and lecturers who have achieved significant results in many competitions and competitions in the field of electrical engineering. Since its beginnings, the school has been following modern technical and technological needs and challenges and, accordingly, equipped with cabinets and labaratories. Today it is a vocational school where secondary education is acquired for work and further education for three or four years. The school space includes 12 general-purpose classrooms, one for teaching activities implemented by the workshop method, and 10 cabinets, six of which are equipped with computers, and four for electrical measurements, el. machines, electronics, el. installations and two workshops for practical teaching. The school also has a rich library with over 7,000 titles.

 

From school year 2008/2009. we included our first field of study in the field of education - multimedia, corresponding to the needs of the education reform among the first in the city. Since then every year, new experimental educational profiles have been included, which are realized in a special way (through modules): Telecommunications, Computer Network Administrator, Information Technology. This has greatly increased interest in our school, and we especially happy about the fact that more and more girls are enrolled every year.
