Alliance was founded 1884 in Haifa, Israel. The school changed many different locations during the years and settled in its current location in the late seventies. The new location, on Mount Carmel, allowed the school to expand and today it has 1300 students in grades 7th - 12th.

The school offers special advanced classes during the first three years (grades 7th-9th) and a wide variety of elective classes during the last three (10th-12th) including physics, biology, chemistry, computer science, law and more.

The school’s mission is to achieve the following:

  1. Positively influence the student’s identity formation and self-esteem

  2. Establish awareness in students concerning the basic values of human dignity and liberty

  3. Deepen the student’s knowledge in different subjects

  4. Develop high learning and thinking skills.

The school puts a special emphasis on the personal connection between students and teachers due to its importance in building a supportive and positive school environment. Such an environment can contribute to students success as well as allow the school to discipline them, an important factor at this age.
