This project addresses the challenge of studying the underwater geomorphology and geological history of an extensive area of the Mediterranean Sea in which scientists from many countries have been parading in recent years. The aim of this program is on the one hand to increase the interest of children and students in the science of Geology and Seismology, on how earthquakes occur and why, in this area. also to study how the daily life of the inhabitants of the island of Crete and North Africa is affected by the continuous seismic activity and on the other hand, to encourage the teachers who teach the subject of Geology and Geography to understand the concepts of International Maritime Law and this will be adopted through innovative teaching methods.
The key to this program is to provide opportunities for collaboration between schools in European countries (mainly seismic southern European countries) and North African countries and to encourage stakeholder relations in both formal and non-formal education by setting up a network of schools. who will study real data.
