MY SCHOOL VOYAGES WITH PERSEUS

Hosted by OSOS , contributed by GFermeli on 21 April 2018

The international thematic project and accelerator “My school voyages with Perseus” aims to create a network of OSOS schools that will work on marine ecosystems by focusing on clean seas stewardship.

Educators along with marine scientists have a role in supporting and inspiring children to acquire the knowledge, skills and inspire their awareness to live and work as responsible and concerned Citizens.

PERSEUS “school partnerships” is a key for developing schools’ European/international dimension on voicing schools’ opinion in protecting the marine environment. The project will give students an opportunity to explore similarities and differences between schools and nationalities, while simultaneously creating awareness of other young people’s reality in a captivating way.

Key thematic areas of PERSEUS project are Marine biodiversity, Overfishing, Chemical Marine Pollution– Bioaccumulation- Health, Eutrophication in Marine Waters and Marine Litter.

Learning Objectives
To involve students in marine scientific research and guide them to recognize the “value” of the seas (like Mediterranean and Black Sea) and the threats and challenges they face in the modern world.
