Project description
The project focuses on educating students in the concept of sustainable development.
Through the process of investigating the energy footprint of the school, students get more acquainted with the concept of sustainable development, and also become environmentally aware.
The activities of the program give students the opportunity to observe, make assumptions, and search for data and information. They get acquainted with the concept of scientific research, they acquire cognitive skills, and learn to collaborate in groups.
By meeting with scientists, students get to understand the use of different forms of energy in our daily lives and how this use is related to climate change and affects the environment. Students are introduced to the concept of circular economy and realize its importance in sustainable development.
