The lithosphere, which is made up of solid rocks, which we know to be invariable and unshakable in our daily life, is in fact like a living entity that constantly changes its external shape and internal structure and is fed by its rapid and slow movements.
We are not aware of this change and mobility in the Earth's crust (lithosphere). Because these events take place very slowly and last for a long time. However, there are also rapid movements of the lithosphere, which can be specified in seconds. We experience them as earthquakes and sometimes we are horrified by the great damage they have done. How does a one or two storey building behave in an earthquake? Each failure provides new information about how a house can be demolished, what works and what doesn't. In this activity, which is expected to be realized by the students, it aims to stimulate the movement of a house during an earthquake and then to draw attention to the earthquake-resistant buildings and the measures that can be taken in case of an earthquake. In this project, "LEGO Mindstorms EV3" earthquake simulation using both to create a structure to be provided, as well as before the earthquake in Turkey, a country of earthquakes, will be highlighted in order of importance and beyond. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of research on earthquakes.
