The school garden as an open school for innovation.The project held will be the cultivation of aromatic plants,and the use of their essential oils in manufacturing soaps.We chose this activity ,because it promotes a strong connection between students and science ,scientists and the scientific progress and will develop an agro-ecological culture among pupils. This particular activity totally complies with the school curriculum as set by the National Ministry of Education in Greece in all three classes of Senior High school as regards the course of Chemistry. Rather than encouraging passive education, we have opted for the active involvement of learners and soap-making is a case in point.
