Through a short video the experience of the DAD, of a class of I.I.S. "F.S. Nitti ”of Portici, address graphics and communication, during the lockdown. The narration takes place through mini clips recorded by the pupils, from home, intent on creating the graphic designs assigned to them, underlining in some cases the lack of equipment suitable for this realization and therefore the desire to complete them also with alternative tools and devices.
Through the technical skills acquired, the pupils told how they approached the lessons at a distance of laboratory disciplines, unthinkable until the lockdown. The desire for confrontation, debate and obviously the will emerge strength, dictated by the need to learn and study also in different ways. The school at the time of Covid 19 is not easy, with this paper the pupils want to emphasize the adaptation to a new situation that, like highlighted by the title of the paper, "at a distance of a screen" there may be solutions to the difficulties that the epidemiological emergency has led to all areas but above all the school one, accustomed to contact, confrontation and sociability. A proactive message that underlines the desire to move forward and not give up.
The choice to tell the DAD through Visual storytelling is the immersive experience, the combination of images, text and sounds that are able to arouse attention, reinforce the message and prolong the memory. History, thanks to simple structure, it has the power to make sense of what surrounds us.
Feel

In full confidence that cultural education continues to be an element of absolute importance even within a "liquid" society like ours (Bauman, "Liquid Modernity" trans. It. 2002), the main mission that our institute proposes with its educational action is to fully develop those skills that the most modern pedagogical reflection now considers an indispensable prerequisite for an organic and conscious insertion into society and the world of work. The Institute therefore intends to train young responsible citizens, respectful of others, culturally curious, able to put their creativity to good use through design skills related to problem solving and open to new technologies. People who, in addition to specific disciplinary skills, have a working method that can be used profitably in different contexts. People who understand the importance of continually investing in their training and have the cultural and methodological tools to do so, with the aim of making their own active and conscious contribution to the society they belong to.
