The impact of parental involvement on children's education

This document, published by the Department for children, schools and families in the UK,draws together evidence on the impact of parental involvement on children’s education, the stages at which it is known to have an impact on children, and the types of activities that are shown to be influential. Because of the restricted focus of this document on educational outcomes, it does not examine how parental involvement may affect the other four ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes for children (i.e. be healthy, stay safe, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well-being’).
