1.English and Geography
Students have to learn the capital cities and the countries of Europe, know their location in the map and find out their characteristics. Also, they need to learn important geographical terms in English.
RESULTS: They will create their own maps of Europe, they will make projects on the most important sights, they will share information with each other and they will imagine being in foreigners' lives through dialogues.
2.English and Nutrition
Students ought to learn the basic categories of Greek food and some important Greek meals in English. What is more, they should think of healthy and tasty snacks, bring them at school and
share them in class with the rest of their classmates. The teacher of Physical Education will talk to them about the importance of healthy diet in school life and in life generally.
RESULTS: Students will learn how to present food in class and feel the need to eat something different from the same and boring snacks.
3. English and Theatrical Studies
Students need to write poems or acronyms and play theater in English. Needless to say that they have to feel like the protagonists, to use their imagination and perform as well as they can. The teacher of Theatrical Studies will help them to do so.
RESULTS: They will get used to acting and improvising and they will also have fun.
4.English and Art and Handicraft
Students should find information about famous painters and their paintings not only from Greece but also from all over the world. Furthermore, they ought to analyze, criticize and express their opinion about art and specifically about 5 copies of paintings that the teacher will bring in class. Finally, they have to do puzzles and make a model car, plane or whatever they like in groups of 5.
The teacher of Art will show them how to do it.
RESULTS: They will use both their creativity and imagination and will share their feelings with others.
5. English and Music
Students must find out all the musical instruments in English and the 3 categories of them. Furthermore, they should all write a song and add melody and rhythm in it with the aid of the Music teacher.
RESULTS: They will get the chance to understand the positive impact that music has on their lives and be creative and imaginative as concerns the writing of a song.
6. English and Environmental Studies
Students ought to know the 3 types of pollution in English and the most serious problems that the environment faces. What is more, they need to learn specific environmental vocabulary and use it in the slogans in favor of the environment and against pollution.
RESULTS: They will create signs with these slogans and will make dialogues about problems of the environment and their solutions. In the end, they will acquire ecological conscience.
