Gordon is a six-year elementary school in Acre, Israel.  The school was founded in 1960 and is currently the biggest in the city with 515 students. Gordon is a “green” school - students learn about the environment and their responsibility to it. In addition, the school teaches students about tourism entrepreneurship and its environmental aspects. 

The school encourages students to develop their skills of dialogue through different activities, as well as maintains a constant dialogue between the staff, parents, and students. 

Gordon fosters a good social environment in the school with an emphasis on equality, openness, and communication. 

The school aspires for its graduates to be valuable members of society: curious, contributing, caring, critical and opinionated. 

Gordon promotes a “growth mindset” in students - encouraging them to develop their individual potential and strengths. 

The school sees great significance in teaching students the idea of respect and makes an effort to teach students mutual respect between them as well as respect for their elders, etc.
